If you don’t know how to solve a problem, get out a piece of paper and:
- Write down the problem.
Write down what hasn’t worked.
Write down what needs to happen before the problem can be solved.
Below that, write: “How can I do that?”
Then write whatever comes to mind no matter how bad the ideas may be.
You will usually need to write down bad ideas before you can have good ones.
That’s usually enough to get me unstuck.
