I have fond memories of reading as a kid. We would say, “I’m bored” and ask if we could get on the computer. My parents would point to the bookshelf and tell us we had more than enough to entertain ourselves. And we did. Aside from intermissions for stuffed animal storylines we created, much of our time was spent reading. I remember one summer in elementary school where I read a few hundred books for the library’s summer reading program. I couldn’t do that with adult books but I still love reading. Self-improvement books, mysteries and the occasional star wars audiobook are my current favorites.
